awful and stressful experience

We received very little updates on the progress of our remortgage. They had the incorrect date for completion, which if we had not corrected them, would have resulted in us paying an early repayment figure. The final figure we borrowed was more than we wanted - we asked to borrow the exact redemption amount so returning it was more hassle. We received no notification in regards to when we had completed. Overall the service was terrible and we would definitely not recommend them. Reviewed on: 4th November 2022

Extremely efficient

Remortgaging with Newbury was clear and easy

We recently worked with Justine Ransom to renew our mortgage deal with Newbury. In difficult and fast moving circumstances Justine made a potentially stressful situation easy. She worked quickly to give us a range of information and communicated our options clearly, which enabled us to make the best decision for our situation. A few hiccups

Overall a good service and happy to be with Newberry however the whole process could have gone a lot smoother and in my opinion quicker if information was given of process and timescales from the beginning. Missed my valuation deadline as offer was incorrect even though all information was provided correctly. Delayed the offer by approx. 2 weeks and then there were different people dealing with things which complicated matters. Glad after 5 months the purchase of an additional share of the property is now complete. Reviewed on: 29th October 2022

Excellent and patient advice

Charlotte, the mortgage advisor I spoke with could not have been more helpful and patient despite my slight veers off the point of the appointment at times. I have been a borrower with NBS since 1997 and my dealings with them through ups and downs has always been excellent, open honest and 'human' I would recommend to any prospective borrower to give NBS a look.
