I remortgaged my existing loan with Newbury BS. It was a lengthy process but I was eventually successful.

The Newbury BS was not prepared to land as much as another lender but this was actually a good thing as it forced me to reduce my extensive mortgage to a far more reasonable one. Their fixed rate product was very competitive and, for my age, they were willing to give me a fair term to repay the loan. They were also willing to consider my individual circumstances which were beyond the norm. The application process was lengthy and very time consuming with numerous requests for evidence for my circumstances. This part of the process could have been facilitated if Newbury BS could have a dedicated customer service rep to liaise between the applicant and the underwriter. In the ultimate analysis, Newbury BS came through with the mortgage deal being applied for for which I will always be very grateful. Reviewed on: 5th February 2022

Great service thank you

At NBS it always feels as though you speak to somebody who cares and wants to find a deal that suits your needs. They are genuinely out to help you and not just to sell you something. Request for a further advance

A very professional, friendly and efficient service from initial phone call to drawing the additional funds. Before retirement I worked in banking and the Newbury service and professionalism far outstrips the large bank offerings. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2022

Remortgage Ease

So, our current mortgage provider wouldn't remortgage us, after being with them for over 20 years... why? Well we had a profitable business in an annexe and good pensions, apparently. The Newbury accepted us, did thorough due diligence and were unfailingly polite and helpful throughout the whole process. I wish I'd been with Newbury before... Reviewed on: 21st January 2022

Excellent professional, prompt friendly service

I applied for a further advance on our existing mortgage. I was very pleased with the professional prompt and friendly service from all the NBS staff I dealt with. Everything was explained in full, including the options in mortgage deals and they found the best one for my situation. I would highly recommend them. Reviewed on: 21st January 2022
