Excellent service

From initial engagement with Eve, support from Hannah in underwriting, to interaction with any staff at The Newbury, the service provided during our self build, novation of our mortgage from Self Build to Repayment and the subsequent additional facility to consolidate mortgages on two properties into one has been nothing but excellent. Other service organisations, particularly in the financial sector should try and emulate the customer experience and superb service. A stand out organisation compared to their peers. Over 75's Mortgages

Flexible, accessible and helpful

As a 70 year old, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to get an interest-only mortgage for three years, during a period of marital upheaval. The Newbury was open and flexible about the options. When redeeming the mortgage, they were flexible about allowing this to happen a few weeks early so as to fit with the Government's stamp duty holiday, by waiving the early redemption penalty, this saving me several thousand pounds. It was always possible to speak to them without having to wait too long on the phone, thereby making discussion of options easy. Very good service overall. Reviewed on: 22nd October 2021

First class service... again

This is the second time we have organised our mortgage with the Newbury. The service was excellent and always with our best interests at heart. Most importantly, everything is done by Humans so things are considered on a real-world case by case basis. There's no blanket "computer says no" approach here. Things are talked through in a sensible and practical way so all relevant information is taken on board. Reviewed on: 22nd October 2021

Completely Hassle free

The support provided has been exemplary in all areas

We have very little cause to contact Newbury Building Society because our mortgage has always run well. When we recently made an overpayment enquiry, it was refreshing to have someone answer the phone promptly and deal with our enquiry swiftly with confirmation received by post the next day.
