Friendly, personal, customer service

Every interaction with Newbury feels personal. It feels as though you have a personal relationship with their mortgage team. And it feels as though your call really is important enough for them to take the trouble to try to help as much as they can. I would always recommend them over bigger, possibly better known brands. friendly, helpful, explained things clearly.

Rude and extremely poor customer service to an existing customer

Long story short. I have now transferred over a million pounds worth of property to another Building Society due to Newbury's sheer rudeness and contempt to me as their customer. Reviewed on: 6th August 2021

Quick and smooth process

Simple and straightforward

I had arranged my original mortgage with The Newbury through a third party and to be honest I thought that the matter had taken quite a while to resolve. However my experience in applying directly for additional funds to complete the renovations to my property were completely opposite. The mortgage advisor could not have been more helpful and the whole process from start to finish took now time at all. Mortgage Application

Ours was a bespoke application that required underwriting, which was undertaken rigorously, but sympathetically. Also, there was extended delay between offer and completion that required the offer acceptance period to be extended and this was readily granted without problem Reviewed on: 23rd July 2021

Always Good

Had loads of queries to do with mortgages and savings all tied into selling a house. All members of staff were very helpful. Always friendly and offering options to suit us. NBS staff are always easy to deal with. Top customer service. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2021
