Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

I was very pleased with all the information that was...

I was very pleased with all the information that was given to me opening a new savings account. I was very happy with all the benefits and features of my new account. The experience was quick and received my book through the post when was expecting it. All the information with all the different accounts that I could choose from was very good and was able to pick the one right for me. I can’t praise the staff enough always friendly and helpful. Staff are always polite and helpful. I had no difficulty in changing my ISA account recently to a Senior Monthly Cash ISA, which offered me a better interest rate. However, it involved a lot of paperwork! Reviewed on: 20th January 2025

Interest rates are excellent!

Savings account and savings bond interest rates are excellent. I love the work the Society does to support local communities. They put customers first, with no shareholders to keep happy, their mission is to keep their customers happy and ensure branches stay open so people can get easy access to their money.
