Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Wider operational area needed. Quicker raising of interest rates on savings accounts when base rate rises. Reviewed on: 28th March 2024

Following a base rate change we review the rates for both our savings and mortgage customers and this does take a few days and the procedures we follow from a regulatory point of view mean the changes are implemented as soon as possible. We are reviewing the process to ensure we are implementing change as swiftly and efficiently as possible. Response date: 30th April 2024
