I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

We decided to open an account because of the good rate of interest and it couldn't have been easier. We were taken through the procedure by Ken at our local branch and it was all set up in half an hour - no fuss or bother. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newbury Building Society. Excellent customer service

I visited your Abingdon branch to open a savings account. I was able to get an appointment without any delay, whereas other banks/ building societies I have contacted have been unable to offer me an appointment for months in some cases. At the appointment I was talked through all the accounts relevant to me so that I could compare them and make the right choice. The whole process was very easy and efficient and there are some great interest rates on offer. I have already recommended Newbury Building Society to friends and family. Very poor! Took 2 weeks to advise on how to make initial funding. Savings online log in erratic in allowing access. Needed to change memorable data twice. Reviewed on: 24th February 2023

Senior saver opened
