Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

I had a need for a savings account and had heard good things about the Newbury. I had done some research by checking out the Society’s website, and as the local branch is within walking distance for me, it was an easy decision to follow up my research with a personal visit. Isabel in the branch made me very welcome and explained an excellent option for a savings account. Opening the account was straighforward and simple. A few signatures and a simple ID check. PROBLEM IN RECEIVING VALIDATION CODE BY POST

Excellent facility online to open an savings account. Then you have to wait for a validation code by post. THERE IS A POST STRIKE. WE HAVE HAD ONE POSTAL DELIVERY IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS. I WANT to deposit a five figure sum in this account from the sale of a flat. I want interest on my money and you want my investment. I suggest that during the postal strike you send out the validation codes by courier. If you want your customer to pay take it from the initial deposit if required. Remember you are an organisation trying to business and I am a customer wanting to do business with you. You need to sort this out. Reviewed on: 16th December 2022
