I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Graduating to Existing Member Account

Having had a Welcome To Newbury Account for a year I wanted to open the Existing Member Account online. The software/ programme should have allowed this without difficulty. Unfortunately gremlins in the programme would not allow this. A visit to the Basingstoke branch soon resolved this. I then wanted to close the Welcome to Newbury Account and transfer the balance to my new Existing Member Account online. Again the system did not allow this. I sent a message to the Society about the problem and received a quick response. They offered to resolve the problem for me. With the service l have received so far l expect this will be sorted quickly. Reviewed on: 19th August 2022
