Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Simple process but informative

I wanted to open anew EMA account , close a Jubilee Saver account and transfermoney into the EMA . It took a bit of time but I was guided through the process. Reviewed on: 28th August 2022

Setting up of new account

Very knowledgeable and friendly

Very efficient and friendly service

Staff friendly and easy to deal with offering a branch based account rather than online.

Excellent experience at the Newbury Building Society, Abingdon

We visited the Abingdon branch today for an appointment with Catherine. The experience was extremely positive with the outcome being that we were able to open another savings account that meets our needs. Would highly recommend. Reviewed on: 20th August 2022

Graduating to Existing Member Account

Having had a Welcome To Newbury Account for a year I wanted to open the Existing Member Account online. The software/ programme should have allowed this without difficulty. Unfortunately gremlins in the programme would not allow this. A visit to the Basingstoke branch soon resolved this. I then wanted to close the Welcome to Newbury Account and transfer the balance to my new Existing Member Account online. Again the system did not allow this. I sent a message to the Society about the problem and received a quick response. They offered to resolve the problem for me. With the service l have received so far l expect this will be sorted quickly. Reviewed on: 19th August 2022
