Good easy access savings.

I was contacted by my local branch to tell me that as I’d had a ‘Welcome to Newbury’ account for a year I was entitled to open a ‘ members account’ with a better interest rate. I did this online and was immediately able to transfer money across. I did have to ring them as I’d managed to get my password wrong but a very helpful lady sorted this out instantly. Very helpful friendly people and better than normal rate of interest. Reviewed on: 11th February 2022

Good Savings Rates

I love the Newbury BS - you can actually go into a branch with your old fashioned passbook and actually talk to a human being! Their savings rates are pretty good too compared to others and the staff are super helpful! Reviewed on: 8th February 2022

Really easy

I opened my new savings account by post. This was really easy to do and my passbook came back really quickly. The only criticism I have is that my passbook come in the same envelope as my certified copies of my passport and proof of address. I was surprised to have the copies sent back and concerned that if the envelope had gone astray then someone else would have all my ID and book Reviewed on: 7th February 2022

I was very impressed by the genuine, helpful, knowledgeable assistance I received from the Alton Branch recently when I opened a number of savings accounts. Opening a new savings account

We visited the Basingstoke branch of your building society to put some money in our senior savings account and one of your staff pointed out that we could.earn more interest from another account. Taking her advice opened a new account each. We were served by a very pleasant and helpful young lady called Gladys Iredale who was very professional and opened our accounts with the minimum of fuss. Expecting the passbooks in a couple of days, we were very surprised to receive them the following day. Excellent service. Reviewed on: 4th February 2022
