Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Prompt and efficient service. Good cash ISA product

New potential customer. Telephoned Andover branch for advice re i.d etc. Immediate answer and information given clear and concise by Matt. Visited Andover branch later that morning all sorted with great efficiency by Tracie, Have already recommended my daughter to ring or pay you a visit re ISA's. Good, local, old fashioned service with a smile. Face to face essential in my view and good Covid discipline in place. Good products from a trusted long established source. Excellent customer service

I phoned a couple of times with queries, when opening the account, and everything was handled promptly and pleasantly. The phone was answered immediately with no irritating music, always a big plus! Very good customer service. Reviewed on: 26th March 2021

Opening a new savings account

After requesting two call backs that never materialised, I took it upon myself to call, which was a bit disappointing. Then when I managed to speak to someone, I was initially told that the product I wanted was no longer available(withdrawn that very morning!). However, as it was on record that I had previously requested a call back prior to this, Newbury BS honoured the savings product. My account is open & I'm happy with the outcome. Outstanding customer service

Samantha called me from the Abingdon branch after I responded to a suggested review. She explained the options and made it very easy for me to open a members account. Samantha called back later and explained the next steps very clearly. I went to the branch next day and Samantha and her colleague sorted everything for me. I really appreciate being able to talk to and deal with real people rather than facing the inevitable frustrations of the internet. If only the rest of modern life was as easy as this!
