Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

From the moment you walk into the Newbury branch there is a welcoming cashier who is both knowledgeable and helpful. Not only does she deal with your present enquiry but then goes on to suggest other products or ways in which they can offer a service. I had opened a savings account for my grandson but when my grand daughter arrived I had no hesitation in taking her along, with my daughter, to open her account. Both children received a little piggy bank...nothing can beat an early start in the saving habit! Reviewed on: 5th January 2018

Savings rate

One of the best savings rates in the UK. The society also provided us with a mortgage to help our son to buy his own house. They also provide him with a mortgage after being refused one by another building society. Reviewed on: 5th January 2018
