I have had paypal credit for a while now and I've never had an issue. When I was waiting months for a refund for a cancelled flight id spent hours trying to get my money back directly. When that was not getting me anywhere, I raised an issue with PayPal and they managed to refund me the full amount after no response from the 3rd party organiser within weeks!
