Direct Debit ISSUE

I won't use direct debit as I had it set up to take set payment on previous balance. However I made a new purchase and it hadn't been billed and you took the direct debit without any notice and cleared my bank account out. Reviewed on: 21st April 2026

Advisor investigations and responses are slow.

Customer Service can be slow to respond. When you have an issue with your money, you want to know that Paypal has your back, especially if there are unauthorised transactions. I've found response times to be slow and the automated resolution process makes you feel like you're left in the dark. Explanations for issues are also lacking - I think Paypal needs to provide more detail into how they undertake investigations and provide customers with more information post investigation. This can be highly frustrating when dealing with your money. That being said, PayPal does provide great service and the advisors are friendly and knowledgeable and I've had positive outcomes every time I've had to engage with someone at Paypal, I just find information during and after interactions can be lacking. I guess it matters more that the outcome is correct, which it always has been. Reviewed on: 21st April 2026
