Have been using pet plan insurance for decades

I have insured dogs and rabbits with petplan over the years and they have always been very quick to settle a claim. You can also get pre authorisation for treatment that pet plan will cover it allowing peace of mind at a time when you are already distressed with a poorly animal. They are always helpful when you call them. The cost is not the cheapest but in my opinion pet plan is the best out there currently Reviewed on: 12th September 2023

Excellent service

Petplan have insured all my dogs. Being Cavalier King Charles, they can have many expensive conditions. Petplan have covered and paid each and every claim. Giving us peace of mind that all their medical needs can be treated. Reviewed on: 12th September 2023

Great company!!

Been with you since our dog was 8 weeks old. He’s 5 now and yes my premiums have gone up, but then so has inflation, the costs of veterinary medicines and services, and the general cost of living. Any claims I’ve had have always been dealt with promptly and with professionalism. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Reviewed on: 12th September 2023

I have 6 pets all insured with Petplan. Although my policies cost me a lot each month, I've got 3 that need regular and expensive treatment. I wouldn't be able to keep them without Petplan. They pay up fast and don't quibble. Worth every penny Reviewed on: 12th September 2023

Petplan is a good insurance place that is quite easy to get answers from when setting up a policy. I have not yet had to make a claim so can't comment on this. Reviewed on: 30th August 2023

Phenomenal Service

Losing our beautiful rescue dog has been far and away the most difficult experience of my life. When I could finally (sort of) face the task of sorting out the matter of insurance, I was treated with patience and understanding, and all it took from me was that one call - Petplan contacted our vet on our behalf and dealt with everything. Petplan not only settled the bills in full within 7 days of my contacting them, including items not ordinarily covered, they also waived the excess. This is not something I expected or requested; this was simply the heart of an astounding organisation! Never have I experienced this level of service and I thank Petplan above all for caring, really caring about our pets and what they mean to us. I would never consider using any other insurer. Good cover overall

Strong levels of cover, apparent clear pricing, well known name in pet insurance. Only concern is they promote themselves that a claim will not affect your annual premium, it only increases with the age of your dog - however my friend has a dog from the same litter, same breed & started cover at the same time, yet after they made a large claim this year their premium increased more than ours for the same dog of the same age from the same litter.
