Petplan promise to never charge you more for claiming and they’ve created policies that cover some things other insurers don’t. You can get pet insurance for dogs, cats and rabbits. There’s also a multi-pet cover option.

Pet Plan is a SCAM

Pet Plan is an Absolute SCAM. You’re premium goes up every year excessively in jumps like £15 to £20. Started off at £35 and eight years later is £105 . They cover absolutely nothing . The £780 dental work was considered cosmetic and not covered . I have stopped the insurance now as the first time I make a claim because my dog got sick, nothing was covered because I had to pay 20% excess deductible which was the cost of the visit and so Pet Plan wiggled their way out of paying anything. I paid and they didn’t . I cannot for the life of me understand why I have been paying thousands of pounds over the years and nothing nothing nothing was ever covered under their terms . Pet Plan are a scum insurance . Put your money in a bank account for your pet and pay for things this way . Note I was paying £105 per month for a £4000 coverage Do you know that a simple scan and test was priced at £8000 so even if you have pet insurance your £4000 doesn’t even get you a test result let alone any treatment . And your excess on a £4000 claim will be £800 . So the actual coverage is only £3200. Meanwhile in four years you could have £5000 in your pets bank account and in 8 years over £10,000 saved for treatment . I massively regret paying into Pet Plan all these years . PetPlan are an absolute pleasure to deal with, excellent support & services available. One of few insurers to offer lifelong cover, easy to claim & quick to pay out. I’ve been with them over 20 years & wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone. Reviewed on: 13th October 2022

The best

Not the most Inexpensive Pet insurance , but there is no problem with making a claim. To help policy holders further, the remaining balance after paying the excess can be paid directly to the veterinary practice concerned ,removing the need to find a lump sum and then await reimbursement. Petplan Excel

I have had to claim from Petplan and have always had an excellent friendly service. They have been outstanding at every stage of my claim. I would happily recommend them to anyone requiring Pet Insurance. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2022

Life cover

Cover for life, annual amount per year for ongoing conditions. Lots of vets recommend them , would consider any other for Poppy Reviewed on: 25th September 2022

Pet plan are great

I've two dogs with pet plan since they were pups. 1 is now 6 the other is 3.5. I do worry the prices are going up. I've claimed once for both with no problems. Reviewed on: 21st September 2022

Excellent service had no problem at all in claiming.

Last year my dog had a dental problem and he had to have anti- biotics and then 4 teeth removed and cleaned. Payment on my claim was prompt. Reviewed on: 21st September 2022
