Fantastic company

My british bulldog has had multiple issues in her 6 years of life but not matter what she had to endure petplan have been there every step of the way. We have never had a claim rejected and the claims are dealt with quickly and efficiently and with compassion. Exceptional service

Honest and helpful

I have found that, if you follow their guidelines and keep them informed, Petplan are excellent. They paid out the full amount for investigations that we needed into our dog’s persistent colic, a matter of £1.5K, and they settled the claim in a week and a half. So glad we signed up with them as soon as we got her as a puppy. Reviewed on: 2nd August 2018

Always excellent

I have insured my animals with Petplan for the last 8 years and unfortunately have had to claim on several occasions. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent and efficient service I always get. Maybe they are a little more expensive than some but I would highly recommend to anyone. Reviewed on: 2nd August 2018

Worth the extra money

PetPlan pay directly to my vets so I don't have to pay upront and claim it back like with some other insurers. It may be a costly insurance but it's definitely worth it for peace of mind. Reviewed on: 19th July 2018

Make the unbearable bearable...just.

Able to grant extra 15 months of quality life to a cat with heart failure. Bureaucracy kept to a minimum helps in stressful times. Made a difference to animal and human lives... thank you. Reviewed on: 17th July 2018

Really focused on Pets

Petplan are fantastic. I've had my horse insured with them for years and claimed over £10,000 for various conditions. They have always been friendly and efficient. Reviewed on: 3rd July 2018

Awful money grabbing company, don't care for pets or people

These people lie at the sales pitch about which conditions are covered and at what age. They lie about 9 out of 10 vets 'recommending' or 'promoting' Petplan when this means nothing more than an administrative formality where vets get a kickback for leaving Petplan leaflets out. They go out of their way to fund reasons to not settle claims. Ratchet up their premiums year-on-year even without a claim. All this, and yet their premiums are around 40% more expensive for a lower level of cover with a higher excess. A truly dreadful company. Reviewed on: 21st November 2017
