Worst car insurance ever.

The service from start to end was appalling. Staff are rude, information provided is misleading but passing the buck is their number one skill. Do not use! Took over 5 weeks to fix my car and no courtesy car was provided even if I paid extra when I took out the insurance. Will never ever use again. Reviewed on: 19th January 2024

Avoid to trusting this company

I had a home Insurance. Because of bad wind some thing fall on the valley made a dent and water was leaking to my loft and bedroom. this damages happened because of the accidental damage Most of the insulation become wet. I have made a claim. They rejected the claim without looking at it saying they will not cover any damages on the roof as this is a wear and tear. this is a fraud company. we insure with Policy expert and our claims are dealing some other company and Valuation is done by a 3rd company. Even after 7 months they did not finally issued a letter saying You can go to Ombudsman. Obviously this company is Cheap if you need an insurances for name sake. But when we go for a claim, they will not pass. As 3 companies involved in the claim process, the amount of time consumes are tremendous. use some other reputed companies Like LV, Halifax etc.. TAKEN MONEY WITHOUT CONSENT

TELEPHONED POLICY EXPERT A WEEK BEFORE MY RENEWAL AND EXPLAINED MY HUSBAND HAD A CCJ WOULD THIS MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND THEY SAID WE CANT RENEW ON THOSE TERMS, SO I ASKED THE POLICY TO BE LAPSED OFF AND THE LADY SAID OK. A WEEK LATER THEY TOOK MY MONEY OUT OF THE BANK EVEN THOUGH THEY WOULD NOT INSURE ME AND HAVING SENT THEM LETTERS AND SPOKE TO THEM ON LIVE CHAT HAVE STILL NOT GAVE ME MY MONEY BACK. SO BEWARE ONCE THEY HAVE GOT YOUR BANK DETAILS WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AT RENEWAL EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE ASKED THEM NOT TOO. Reviewed on: 20th December 2023

Awful Claims Experience.

The true testament to any insurance company is what happens when you need to make a claim, and, quite frankly, Policy Expert (Accredited Insurance Europe), are crooks. We had a very clear and obvious landslip at the rear of our property during a winter storm. This impacted a retaining wall and subsequent rear elevation wall. After sending an assessor out, remedial work was carried out to stop the roof collapsing. The contractor at the time then gave PE a price to undertake the work. After this price was given, everything changed. PE send a new surveyor out to assess the damage - with the clear intention of trying everything they could to decline the claim. The surveyor changed his mind and decided that the claim should be declined, with a largely unsubstantiated guess at what 'might' have happened. We were then forced to make a complaint to the Ombudsman, despite the cause of the claim being within the boundaries of the policy wording and conditions. The Ombudsman found in our favour and upheld the complaint, yet this wasn't enough for PE, who then questioned the decision of the Ombudsman. Their argument was pathetic, based on guesswork and lies. After 11 months, the Ombudsman found in our favour for the 2nd time. Our wall is near-collapsed and the contents of that part of the property are decimated from mould and water damage. (PE refused to pay storage costs). I an only encourage people to heed this as a warning. PE do everything they can to refuse claims, and it'll take up months of your time trying to fight them. American freeze freezer broken and lost all contents having waited over 24 hours even to acknowledge claim had to call only to be advised £250 excess plus they send all different trade assessors to validate claim from plumbers to joiners but not anything re electrical ie electrician certified and will get my own and pay for it myself ,no where in policy does state still ,complete fraud and manipulation of terms and conditions of a policy which I have had for many years and never made one claim ,will be seeking legal advise and will be presenting this issue with the local trading standards office Reviewed on: 24th October 2023
