Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Home and Car Insurance

Saga are always helpful and explain anything I may not understand. Since my husband's death I have been wary of all on-line contact and Saga are happy to send me paper copies of everything by GPO mail if I request it, which I always do. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

Telephone staff always quickly available

Excellent cover and easy to deal with

Like many people, we like to travel abroad with our car and Saga provides by far the most extensive cover throughout Europe. Also, I like that we have been able to hedge against uncertainty in the market by fixing our price for three years, for peace of mind. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

Good company to contact via phone with clearEnglish speaking personell

I like to be able to talk to a sales advisor rather than online whick a lot of companies are only contactable by. Saga has reasonable pricing with the option to fix for 3 years which is peace of mind especially in the current climate. On top of that they cover new vehicles back to invoice price for 2 years or 12000 miles whichever the sooner. Keep it up Saga & your customers will stick with you Reviewed on: 29th September 2021
