Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Needed a good reliable Insurance for my car.

We were recently hit at speed by a driver who struggled to keep control of their car round a bend nearly hitting us head on. I got as far away as possible to my left and luckily they only scraped all along my offside. If they had hit head on we would have been seriously injured. Needless to say they didn't stop. I reported to the police, but nothing they could do as my dashcam did not pick up the number plate in the pitch dark. Saga were brilliant dealing with my claim, and everything was resolved with no hassle, although I did had to pay the excess as they could not claim from the other driver. Peace of mind

We have used SAGA for many years for Travel and Car insurance. The cover is first class and they are competitive when you look at the cover they offer. No tricky clauses you only find out about when you have to make a claim. When you have a problem they step in and sort it quickly and efficiently. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

Excellent Caring Service

Last year when my wife died, I phoned to amend my policy (ie remove my wife as a named driver) Saga did this waving the admin charge and replaced my wife with my daughter at no charge, excellent caring service at a difficult time Reviewed on: 29th September 2021
