Saga offers two levels of cover, Saga Plus and Saga Select. With Saga Plus, you can expect to pay the same price for 3 years if there are no changes, even after most types of claim. If you cancel during the year, you won't be charged a cancellation fee.

Friendly assuring voice when in need of help

Changed to Saga and saved on house insurance and boiler cover. Charge was easy and staff of saga were very helpful. Sadly had to make a claim on the policy and again Saga took me through everything, explained clearly how it would go and followed up on the repairs. Rip Off

My dad, who was aged 83 at the time first took his home insurance out with Saga in 2013. He saw an increase in 2014 to £283.59. For the next 4 years, his premiums were raised to 362.01, then £422.36, then 496.54 and finally in 2018 to £588.93 all paid by direct debit and by which time he was 88 years old when the final premium was received. I did complain without a satisfying resolution and therefore decided to find him a better deal. To add insult to injury in 2019 he had received an offer for home insurance from Saga for £288. It was always my understanding that the brand Saga stood to assist the elderly and not rip them off. Reviewed on: 20th August 2021
