Basic account for basic service

You get what you pay for and with the basic your not paying for anything and you don't really get anything either. I would like to see more communication from local branches to their customers yet this only happens when large sums of money suddenly appear in the accounts. I know from personal experience. Sometimes incompetent

Easy online access

I moved from RBS to A&L about 13 years ago. Then they were changed to Santander. I do everything online and pop into the branch occasionally to deposit cheques. My mortgage is also with Santander and renewing is easy online. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Difficult, not very flexible. No contactless

In the past 8 months I have seamlessly transferred from my old bank to Santander. On 2 occasions i've had to contact customer services and with no quibble, delay or hesitation my queries were sorted with no further issues. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017
