Outstanding product

I can't rave enough about how clever the 123 current account is. There is a 2 pound monthly fee, but this is more than made up for by the better savings rate on offer and cashback on household bills makes it really clever...cash back on bills is a nice feeling. Reviewed on: 10th June 2015

really positive experience with this brand

Ive been a Santander customer for around 16 years and was recently asked if i wanted to change to the 123 current account. I was a little apprehensive as first as it cost £2 a month to use but after being with them for 6 months and having much more cash back than its cost to use the account i am extremely pleased. The staff are very helpful always and explained the account advantages and disadvantages clearly to us. Reviewed on: 24th April 2015

Good communication and customer service

I was not happy with my old bank so decided to change. Had a good look around and found this account pay £1000 and set direct debits up to earn cash back with a £2 fee. Did all my calculations yes it was worth it. Made an appointment over the phone at my local branch and was told exactly what id I needed which was great. Went for the appointment wen through the account with me explained my old account would be closed with all dd swapped over. Fabulous no work for me apart from a couple of signatures. A few day later arrived letters confirming new account details with swapping day and it happened as they said with no hiccups. Fantastic protection and safety to store my finances

The 123 account is very simple, put more than £500 in the account a month, set up two direct debits and earn the high interest and cash back rewards the account offers. It hasn't been simpler to make the most of your ready cash. Since joining over a year ago I have earnt hundreds of pounds in interest and cash back from easy everyday sources such as paying council tax bills, phone bills etc. Its got to be the best account I have opened. I have found the Santander 123 account to be an excellent current account. By using the account for all household direct debits such as utility payments the low account fee is easily recouped in cashback, and direct debits and standing orders are easy to set up and reliable. Why the 123 Account, from Santander, is definitely one to have.

The 123 account offers 3% interest on credit balances between £3,000 and £20,000, and even though there is a £2 monthly fee, this is more than covered by the cashback that you receive for paying your council tax, utility bills, communication bills (such as Sky, mobile phone contracts or home telephone/broadband contracts) by direct debit. Although the rate is variable, so it could be withdrawn at any time, it does mean that even after tax, this account is paying better than most ISAs out there. Reviewed on: 20th April 2015

My favourite thing about the Santander 123 account is the ability to manage practically all my finances online efficiently, easily and safely. Set up/cancel Direct Debits and Standing Orders, make one off payments, transfer money between accounts etc. can all be done instantly with a few clicks of a mouse. Opening and operating the account is easy

The Santander 1-2-3 account is easy to use and very easy to set up. All you need is at least £500 per month going into the account (which could be your wages or just a transfer from another bank) and set up and operate two direct debits from the account. With online banking doing most things are really easy, and if you are stuck you can always phone them for help. You will be charged a £2 fee each month but in return you get a 3% interest rate on up to £20,000 which beats most easy access savings accounts easily. You also get cash back on some types of household bills such as council tax so the £2 fee can be offset but a much larger payment back. I have read reviews that suggest that the service form Santander is bad, but I have not found that. Reviewed on: 20th April 2015
