Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. Santander 123 Lite Current A/C

You pay £2 monthly fee & you need to be a home owner to get the full benefit of cash back on your utility bills. You also get access to their ESAVER a/c that is easy access that currently pays 3.2%. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Poor treatment

SATANDER customer service destroyed my credit rating over a misunderstanding when closing my account. Numerous calls to customer service and credit control offices left my credit report reeling to this day. All despite having been a customer for 23 years! Never again. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Bank switch failed...

I completed the switch with the hope of getting the £200 incentive to join Santander. The switch failed for some reason which I wasn't informed about, and as a result not only didn't qualify for the incentive, but was also charged fees by my old bank account.
