Thieves

In 2019 this bank closed my account and stole near £4k from me, this was due to an issue with a payees bank account, said payee sent me £600, but santander decided it was ok to steal all of my money in the account, almost 4k as stated. I have provided them with all of the proof regarding the legitimacy of the £600 transaction time and time again but they just want to pass me around and keep asking for the same information!!! This bank is stealing our money without being held to account. I am determined to get my money back but they are not making it easy!!!!! Reviewed on: 13th March 2022

Worst bank ever.

SECURITY AND WEBSITE

Santander is very much on the ball regarding branch withdrawals and website money transfers. Gives their customers peace of mind during transactions on the website and also whilst withdrawing cash at the local branch. I have also had dealings on the phone and were very helpful. I cannot fault their service or the 123 Current Account. Reviewed on: 12th March 2022

Awful Customer service

Hopeless customer service

Expect it to take up to 30 minutes to finally talk with a person. Meanwhile you have to listen to awful music and a woman who tells you ever 15 seconds how sorry she is Reviewed on: 11th March 2022

Easy to bank with

Santander is the only bank that lets you open an account with a low pay in threshold of £500 this gives most people the ability to open a bank account whereas others need a minimum pay in of £1000+ Reviewed on: 9th March 2022

Best bank provider in the UK

Any customer service help, they provide and resolve all my issues without hassle. Their financial operations is very simple, for example contactless payments etc. Reviewed on: 6th March 2022

Getting impossible waiting times to contact

I have banked with Santander quite happily for several decades from when it used to be Alliance and Leicester, always had good customer service by telephone. I know there is chaos now with the Ukraine war and the past two covid years but really trying to contact them by phone has become so bad in the last few weeks - I have just waited for 46 minutes before giving up - to deal with a transaction I couldn't make yesterday as they wanted me to check payee details - for that conversation I waited 23 minutes. I will have to try again tomorrow., am now dreading it. As other reviewers have said - get more staff! This is unacceptable. If it continues I will be changing my bank. Reviewed on: 6th March 2022
