Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. A Good Bank to be with

Customer service is very good whether it be an account query or a problem. Compared with other banks, Santander is one of the best for interest rates, communication and customer service. Reviewed on: 1st February 2022

Far too few branches around these days and their app doesn’t permit scanning and depositing a cheque. It’s accessible enough, but lagging behind the competition. Difficult to get through to anyone on the phone. Reviewed on: 21st January 2022
