Fraud prevention gives peace of mind

I have held both a business and a 123 current account for years with Santander. Their security systems are very impressive. On a couple of occasions, having made expensive purchases on my card, they have called me before processing the payment to ensure that it was me and not fraudulent use of my card Reviewed on: 9th February 2020

123 account

The best current account on the market. 1.5% interest if you have £20,000 in your account plus money back on utility bills all for £5 a month. Reviewed on: 8th February 2020

What a current account should be

For a small fee per month I've got much more control of my personal finances and earn cashback on certain bills, which outweighs the charges. Reviewed on: 8th February 2020

Brilliant!!!

In the period of over 20 years (my entire working life so far) I have used different banks for different products. Savings, Mortgage, Current account etc. In my opinion, Santander are the best. In terms of keeping the customer happy, constant friendly communication with the customer and also fraud prevention. Im not going to slate my previous banks , in fact some have been very good, its just for the full customer package Santander have been the best. Reviewed on: 8th February 2020

The 123 when it first started out was an excellent account but now that the interest rate has been reduced to next to nothing I would be as well transferring most of the money I have in it to a ISA Stocks and Shares Investment Trust. If I do that it will bring my investment interest back up to just over what it was when this account first opened. Reviewed on: 8th February 2020

was good but now not worth it

I opened this account back in March 2014 when it was paying 3% interest. The bank base rate then was 0.5% It is now 0.75% but Santander are cutting their rate in May 2020 to 1% They might review that when there are many account closures! Reviewed on: 8th February 2020

Excellent customer service, makes going into branch a great experience.

The staff in branch are really friendly and helpful. If there is a queue, any extra staff always come and ask if they can help you with your query. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Good rate but decreasing

It costs to have the account but the interest (on a max of £20,000) is going down. However, it is still better than other accounts and if one has the money both husband and wife can have an account. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020
