Stay Well Clear of Santander

The worst bank and customer service on the planet! I have had a lock placed on my account and the reason they gave me was that i have used contactless payment too much. Now considering i have spent the last 3 weeks in Singapore and never use the card as i dont want to pay their extortionate rates. I transfer from the bank to Wise. Now they have blocked it and tell me i have to buy something in Singapore and put my pin number in to release the block. Its the only way i can unblock it! Santander are a joke and i shall be closing the account down because of this. Complete failures! still waiting on the line for the fraud team to unblock this bar and been waiting over an hour so far. i am stuck in Singapore without access to my money. Great bank indeed

I've banked with Santander for over 10 years and they've been always very helpful despite my financial difficulties of the past. Recent updates to the android app made it very beneficial and useful. Reviewed on: 23rd November 2018

Fantastic account

Santander 123 Current account is a great product which allows me and my wife to make some decent cashback through monthly house bills: 1% on water rates and council tax (plus our mortgage as it is provided my Santander). 2% on utilities, and 3% on mobile bills, braodband and tv packages. On top of this, monthly interest is also paid in depending on the bank account balance. Top product, can't complain at all! Reviewed on: 22nd November 2018

Easy to use and simple to transfer and setup

On transferring to Santander I was extremely pleased with the service provided and the smoothness of the transfer. The difference between Santander and RBS is night and day, especially with the online banking service and especially the interest rates provided. The only disappointing thing is that although the national rate of interest has gone up Santander have not repaid their customers original faith when joining and returned the interest rate to 3% as was originally advertised nor have they reduced the £5 per month fee back to £3 per month.
