Review of the Santander, Business Current Account:

Superb Service

Called their helpline ‭0800 085 1633‬ to open Business Bank Account, extremely helpful person put me within 5-6 on call with a business manager. Was given the option to open account on phone, took about 35 mins all questions were relevant to the business, was asked if any exisiting contracts - said No and she said fine. Director details were asked and a credit check was done all within 35 mins. Account was seamlessly sorted/opened with free business banking for a year. Great service and nothing more to expect. Hellish to set up

Business Banking was hellish to set up. I experienced nothing but problems. The bank literally took months to set up the account with no exaggeration! They kept coming back asking for more documents etc instead of asking for everything upfront at the start. It made things very difficult. However, since the initial nightmare start up, it now seems to be running pretty well. Reviewed on: 20th January 2016

Santander business banking- an absolute gem of an account!

I use Santander business banking and from day 1 to now I have received exceptional service. I was able to set up my account online simply and efficiently which is great for someone who works long hours and cannot get to the branch easily. My online banking and card arrived very quickly also with easy to understand instructions. The online banking tool is amazing- very sleek and easy to use- I would recommend this account and Santander to anyone! Reviewed on: 15th January 2016

Froze our account without notice and are still denying us access to our monies!

Our Digital Currency platform had a Business Acct with Santander. 4 months after launch our account was frozen without warning by Santander, so that we could no longer transact with our customers. The reason given was we are trading in Digital Currency, which is surprising as this is our main business activity and was part of the initial plan the local branch mgmnt approved! Access to funds in our account is still being denied and Santander are providing no answers and have yet to respond to our formal complaint. Our business is in limbo until this is sorted out, i therefore could not recommend Santander to any SME Reviewed on: 2nd December 2014

Average

Santander don't have bank charges which is suitable for a small freelancer. The website is unwieldy, It wouldn't allow me to make transactions. For comparison my nationwide personal account has been problem free, making transaction is simple and easy. Reviewed on: 10th November 2014
