Review of the Sheilas Wheels, Car insurance:

AVOID AT ALL COST - DONT WANT TO PAY OUT - SCAMMERS

By far the worst car insurance provider I’ve ever dealt with. Car stolen in April and it took 8 days to receive a call back from an engineer to discuss the theft. Further 2 weeks for a valuation to be told they were deducting £13,000 from the valuation. 50% of the total value of the car because of undisclosed points on a named driver. This driver suffered from a stroke at the time of auto renewal and was in hospital clearly not thinking about about car insurance! The named driver wasn’t involved in the claim, it was stolen from our house so the incident has no connection to the named driver. Yet Sheila’s wheels are strong arming us and bullying us and taking £13,000 off our claim as compensation for an SP30 ticket. This “fair” to them. Further penalty for a mileage discrepancy. 5,500 estimated in 12 months and in we drove 12,000 in 24 months. That’s 500 miles a year over estimation….. working out at 1.3 miles more per day over. How can this be a way of deducting our claim by £13,000?? I presume if we did less miles than estimated we wouldn’t be rewarded and get money back? To compound the fear of having been burgled, it took over 10 attempts of being on hold for hours to get through to someone who offered no sympathy or help, just the news that they would Be taking £13,000 off our claim and keeping as compensation. A crippling amount of money to take off and without any offer of financial support or direction if this would cause financial hardship. All you get is an email saying that’s the amount we would get and to take it to The financial ombudsman. Shockingr service for any insurance company and will be telling every one I know to avoid Sheila's wheels like the plague. Disgusting customer service, bullying tactics the whole way and ZERO support when we actually needed it most. AVOID Sheila’s wheels!!! Reviewed on: 21st June 2022

Don't use this insurer

Don't have a hidden auto renew when taking out this insurance! They took money from my bank a second year, I thought I had cancelled by email, not realising the emails sent to me were a no return adress. By the time I noticed the money had been stolen from my account, the 14 day cooling off period had passed by 1 day, so I was charged a cancellation fee! So not only had they sat on my money and worked it within there company for 2 weeks, they also charged me for the pleasure! I advise anyone not to use this thieving company! Absolute scum bags.

Avoid like the plague. This company are cheats and thieves. Make sure to get everything written down, as they will just deny. My vehicle was stolen 6 months ago. I informed them, I made the claim through them. I was told the policy was cancelled. I went through my accounts, and have seen they have been taking money out for the last 5 months, amounting to over £500, when they were fully aware of the situation. Now they are saying they won't refund the 5-6 months that they have charged me for, when I didn't even have a truck. What sort of service is that? That's just theft plain and simple. Not only has my vehicle been stolen, but Sheilas wheels have stolen a further £500 from me. I am in the process of taking them to court. Vile company

Pointless trying to speak to someone you hold for 4 hours and they cut you off. Incompetent staff havent a clue what they are doing. Stay well away from these scammers and get insured with a proper company Reviewed on: 30th August 2023

Horrible experience

Absolutely horrible experience with them. Multiple failures in handling our claim, took over 2 months just to figure out if its repairable or a total loss... have spent over 40 minutes on several phone calls on hold just to try to speak to someone. When I did speak to someone, they were totally useless and promised call backs which never happened. My complaints were ignored, and then the complaints about the complaints were also ignored. Competitive pricing and simple but effective service

It is fair to say that as a male, Shelias Wheels was not really on my radar for car insurance. However, their pricing and product compared very favorably to my other quotes at the time. Fortunately. I have not had to make a claim, however, I was impressed by their communication upon joining and lack of it since (that is a compliment)! A lot of insurance companies constantly bombard their customers with marketing for other products but not Shelias Wheels in my experience. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Restored my faith

I took out a new insurance with Sheila's Wheels, but sadly had to scrap my car a few weeks later. Not only were they very helpful in arranging the new policy, I was so grateful (and surprised) when they gave me a full refund. It restored my faith and when I eventually get a new car I will be giving them my business. Reviewed on: 17th August 2023

They will make you feel like you are nothing

Forge about them hanging up on you. Forget them being rude on the phones. They simply do not care about their clients- I used them for 3 years and they stuck a knife in my back and were really smug about it.
