Do not take complaints seriously

Very poor communication in fact no communication except for the complaint acknowledgement email with a 6 weeks target,you are told someone will call you and nobody calls 6 weeks later no contact but receive another email stating for them to investigate further it will be another 8 weeks , they cancel your policy without notice meaning any other insurance you try to get is now doubled. I am giving one star as there is not an option for 0 stars. Since being taken over by Esure, this company is impossible to deal with. Diabolical in fact. It took me 3 days to make contact to cancel my car insurance when I sold my car. This meant that the new buyer couldn't drive the car. I couldn't cancel online, was told to call, when I called I was told to go through the Esure chat-bot. The chat-bot said that it wasn't working. I tried to call over 3 days and after numerous times of being on hold and then the phone cutting off at their end after 45 minuted plus, I got through. The member of staff went through the cancelation process with me. I actually sent an email to their customer service and trading standards and I'm not usually one to complain. I received a letter asking to call as they were giving me £50 compensation for my trouble. Great? No. So to get through and action this, I have been through the above process, put through to different department and then the line cuts off. But that is not the worst. When I got though just now, I have found out that my car insurance is still live. Now I want to cry!!!! I have just been on hold while they are supposed to be looking at this, and guess what? After 50 minutes, the line has cut off from their end. This means that I am driving my current car illegally and so is the owner of my last car. Witts end!! Reviewed on: 23rd November 2023

Absolute rubbish

Don ‘t answer phone. Phones to them cut off after spending hours trying to go through. Very bad experience trying to report an accident. Their web page is no better. Can’t report the accident on line because can’t log in or register on line. Worst experience, don’t use them at all, total waste of time Reviewed on: 15th November 2023

Shocking in EVERY WAY

Shocking! Never received policy docs. Threatening email when claim made against me despite me trying to notify them by phone (waited every time over an hour at least & had to abandon calls, tried to contact via website chat - went round in circles). Finally, today got through on virtual asst (after 50 mins) and Slungile left the chat midway, as I was typing a question. Personal acct area of website is absolutely useless, can't do anything without going via virtual asst which never answers the query. Have no idea what is going on with a claim against me & cannot get through. Have used them for 4 years but they are not the company they used to be. Go elsewhere! They will leave you stranded!

Following a no fault accident over 160 miles from home on a weekend Sheilas Wheels left myself and 2 passengers - one of them disabled stranded and said they were unable to recover the car or provide a hire car included in my policy until business hours on Monday or Tuesday! Since then I have tried to call them daily to progress complaint but after nearly 3 hrs on hold each time you get cut off. In an email they informed me I would be contacted within 4 working days by the supervisor, however 5 working days later still no contact. Insurance is not just about the best price - it is about knowing you will be taken care of in the event of an accident. Sheilas Wheels advertise they were set up for women - yet they knowingly left 3 women stranded away from home. Please do not use - put your safety first! Reviewed on: 17th October 2023

TERRIBLE AND AWFUL

Absolute con artist of an insurer. We were hit in the rear at a red light, provided dash cam footage, and Sheila’s Wheels somehow determined we were partially at fault. Subsequently we have lost all our no claims and are now subject to higher premiums despite not actually being at fault. We were never advised of this, and only found out when we were looking to renew the policy. Customer service is an absolute joke - we are currently nearly at THREE HOURS of waiting to get through to someone on the phone. The online service is useless and just tells you to call them instead. Additionally, their policy is to provide you a courtesy car within 2 days, however we had to argue for one to be provided which we only received after 5 days. This meant I could not travel to work and had to take time off. DO NOT USE SHEILA’S WHEELS. Reviewed on: 9th October 2023

What has happened to Sheilas Wheels. Just awful company now days. I have been with Sheilas Wheels on and off for many years. I have been trying to call them since last week and as I write this review I have been put on hold by their claims team for 1 hour and 27 minutes so far. Last week I was put on hold by another advisor for 1 hour and 8 minutes before the call dropped. This is just dreadful and horrible service. Sort your service out Sheilas Wheels! Changing cars was rip off! The auto renewal was £300 over price although no changes.think they get you in on the first year at a reasonable rate then jump in up on second year !no loyalty to there customers .how many people get caught out by there alto renewal Reviewed on: 25th September 2023
