I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Absolutely Brilliant!

We have been with starling now for a couple of years. It is wonderful. I closed Monzo and moved over. I use it as our everyday current account and I have a child with a Kite Card. Going abroad and being able to use my Debit Card for purchases AND cash withdrawals, with no fee, is brilliant. Yes, there is no phone number to contact Customer Service but they are very quick to respond and helpful. Reviewed on: 1st December 2023

Simply the best...

Starling's current account is simply the best. Having used Monzo and Barclays before, I have found Starling to be the best out of them all. Customer service is always professional, friendly but human and so kind. Nothing is too much hassle. The app is loaded with features, but unlike Monzo, it's a bank for adults with no childish animations or bright colours. It's a clean, simple to use UI which you can tell has been thoughtfully designed. Best Bank Account! Reviewed on: 1st December 2023

Pain (and effort) free banking

I was a satisfied customer of a traditional bank for many years, until they withdrew a customer perk that I'd liked, and when I complained, they invited me to look elsewhere. So I did. I'd always been shy of online banking, and while I'd used it, I had never banked on an app, and never thought I would - being 72 now, my early adopter phase has long gone. But having decided to look around, I thought it only fair to consider the 'neobanks', especially as you can't slide a razor blade between the offerings of the traditional banks, unless you start counting branches. Starling immediately looked attractive: minimal, no fuss, no grandiose claims, and no branches; I'd only entered my bank on about three occasions in 20 years, and that was to use a cash machine out of the rain. I was further impressed with a smooth transition. No errors, no anxiety, up and running from Day 1. And the app is a dream. easy to navigate, easy to use, excellent and instant communication, easy set up for payments ... I could go on endlessly. I just love it. My only anxiety is that it might get swallowed by a desperate old-style bank fearful of the competition and anxious to restore their falling numbers! Reviewed on: 20th September 2023
