Would not reccommend

Had a horrible experience trying to sign up for Starling - customer service staff were so unhelpful. Got an account at Monzo, which is great!! Reviewed on: 9th February 2018

Easy to organise and manage

Always responds quickly to questions and the interface is very intuitive. I appreciate greatly that they don't fund fossil fuels which is a big reason I switched. I love using the pots for sectioning my money per savings and bills. However, some repeating payments such as apple cannot be added to be deducted from your bills space, which can be a little inconvenient. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Just will not listen

When I first started with Starling, they were great. Now however, I find they treat their customers with some disdain. My experience with their feedback process ('starlingbank dot com/contact/') is if you use it, they email you back and tell you to go to the app. If you've crafted a detailed email with your feedback originally, then you are told to go to the app which is limited to 500 characters, you could come unstuck. Challenging for anyone who has communication challenges wishing to articulate feedback effectively. They also do not respond to any feedback submitted. So I officially complained, Starling upheld my complaint and agreed their web site is misleading in this regard, but five months later, no change to their website. As this is not a financial matter involving money, the FCA will not look into this. So Starling just continues to ignore and mislead its customers with regards to feedback. The best banking experience by far

I have been using starling for the last 6 months after hearing it recommended on a podcast. I am absolutely in love with the app. It has transformed my banking experience from the highstreet bank I was with. I LOVE the spaces facility, it makes it so much easier to hit savings goals by being able to separate out your money and put a name to that space. The spending tracker is so helpful to actually see where money is going each month. Honestly, the best bank move I have ever made. Thank you starling for transforming day to day banking. Best bank

Starling is an exceptional bank which gives you a real alternative to the main stream banks. With better ethical values it is a great bank which app is great easy to use customer service amazing and is great for overseas spending and budgeting. Love the bank

I absolutely love Starling bank, for both personal, business and joint banking. The app is super easy to use, the customer service is excellent and I love the functionality for tracking spending in the app across merchants and categories. I have a current and joint account with Starling. I am satisfied with their service; I love that there are no fees abroad; this has been helpful. The instant notification of spending also helps along with the spaces that help with savings. The customer service has been excellent with all concerns answered online. Starling make my banking life simple

I have been with Starling for my current account for a few years now, and we also have a family business account and the an account for the business of which I am director. Excellent app, good interest rates, super customer service - responsive and helpful.
