Stepchange do not want to know how you got into debt nor do they judge. They help you to draw up a realistic budget and suggest items you may not have considered for future expenditure or where you may be able to cut back in order to achieve a manageable repayment figure or other possible routes to solve your dilemma. Step change helped me get out of a poor financial si...

Step change helped me get out of a poor financial situation when I got furloughed due to covid and couldn't afford to repay things that I owed. They consolidated my creditors and made my monthly payments affordable. I am nearly completely clear of it all 5 years on. Reviewed on: 7th June 2025

My experience throughout has been that the team are understanding, person centred, knowledgeable and offer effective advice and support.
