I highly recommend Stepchange.

I highly recommend Stepchange if you have and are worried about debts. I've had a debt management plan for 9 months now and pay a monthly affordable amount. I don't get phone calls or letters from creditors anymore. Once you complete the easy online forms with your financial info Stepchange contact your creditors for you with your budget info and how much you can afford to pay. Providing you keep up with payments things are less & less stressful from then on. I am now free of worry & feel back in control thanks to Stepchange. Reviewed on: 31st May 2025

I think that this service is excellent at putting customers at ease, they listen and are empathetic to the customers needs. Staff explain the processes very well and do everything that they can to ensure that you understand. They fully supported me and took the stress from me at a time when I really needed support. Its always difficult when dealing with money problems, or it was at least. Until I was recommended StepChange I feel I am finally back and track and can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Stepchange set us back on the right track when we most needed help and advice. They dealt with our creditors, and negotiated affordable repayments for us, and relieving the stress and anxiety were under. I came out of work unexpectedly through illness, step change where there to talk to me every step of the way. They gave me advice on the different plans I could use for my debt and really helped to reduce the overwhelming burden I was feeling. You can review your budget and keep on track with payments by monthly statements. I have so far had a good experience with step change and I’m on track to have a future that’s debt free.
