Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Contacting step change was the best decision I made!

I was struggling with my debts for a while before reaching out to step change. Their online service is easy to complete and provided me with options based on my circumstances. I am not making one monthly payment to step change and they distribute it fairly between my creditors. They have taken on all the hard work of contacting my creditors and arranging my payment plans. I can see my significant debt reducing each month and am so glad I reached out to step change when I did. I went to Stepcange after i just couldnt keep up!!!

I went to Stepcange after i just couldnt keep up with my credit card repayments. i spoke to them online and filled out a budget form, they contacted my credit card providers and now i can keep up, I dont think that will be the end of the stress but hopefully a good start in the right direction.
