Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I was in such a financial mess when, at my age, I should be settled. Stepchange help me through the mess and basically sorted everything out without me having to talk to my creditors. They helped draw up my budget and even though a felt embarrassed saying how much I owed, the person on the end of the telephone was so sympathetic and really made me feel at ease. Life change with Stepchange

I carried the weight off debt for years and after dealing with step change, I can breathe again, I can walk tall and upright. Every time I have called each and everyone I have dealt with have been amazing and so polite.
