Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Life changing

Well what can I say…..Stepchange is the best thing since sliced bread. They’ve helped me so much with my debts. Everyone you speak to is so polite and understanding. Someone to help reduce your worries

The best decision I made, thank you step change

I only wish I had contacted step change earlier. The lady who I spoke with was very helpfully and made setting up my dmp easy. The way she spoke to me never once made me feel as if she was judging me or blaming me for allowing my finances to get into a mess.
