Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Great help!

I couldn't recommend stepchange enough! From start to finish stepchange has made it simple and easy to receive help and taken a great load off of my shoulders. The online system is really easy to use and the call advisers are always great help. Reviewed on: 18th June 2023

Much needed help

I was in so much dept and struggling to pay everything, I contacted stepchange and they put me on the right plan I have 6 months left on my dept now and the money I was paying to them will no go into a savings account so I don't get in this position again. What a relief

A weight lifted

I'd never heard of the charity StepChange until I broke down and told a friend I was struggling financially and got my self into debt. Was then she told me about StepChange.
