Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Incredible service

From not knowing what to do and how to pay my debts, Stepchange took control and guided me through each step. They dealt with all the companies I had debts with and consolidated it into a single payment I could afford. They stopped interest charges and are always available for me when I need help. They made me feel that finally I was in control again and confident that I will be able to clear the debt. I don't know what I would have done without them. I cannot praise them enough.
