Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

The whole process is as painless as possible and very simple to set up! Easy to manage your account, make revisions and stay on top of your payments. Step Change never show judgement, only support. They treat people like human beings with courtesy and respect, unlike many creditors who show no consideration for people. Took away my worries by dealing with my debtors and setting up an affordable monthly plan. Thanks to debt plan I now have payed my debtors and have just been accepted for a new credit card and am now able to save a little money each month. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
