Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

DONT SUFFER IN SILENCE!!! contact stepchange!!!!

i have been with stepchange now for a few years and its gone from 'not knowing what to do' (having bad thoughts of XXXXXXXX) to now being in control of my debt and slowly climbing out of the deep dark hole and back into the light! while ive been with stepchange ive tried to do without in order to get my debts paid off quicker but with this cost of living crisis 'doing without has made me very ill' so on my review i had to think about myself for a change and 'doing with'. so with the help of stepchange (sorting all my creditors out & who gets what amount of money each month from my monthly payment to stepchange) i can now start eating properly for the 1st time in a long while! so from being in the gutter with only bad thoughts of XXXXXXXXX to being without the stress of debt right now! thats all thanks to stepchange and their HARD WORK to help me get to where i am right now!!! so if you are reading this thinking 'its a fake review and no1 can help you like this' think again! dont let the bad thoughts your having ruin your life get the help you need by talking to stepchange! they really do help you!!!!!! by the way THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW!! this is me! this is how i was feeling before i found stepchange!!!!!! stepchange has change my life!! they have pulled me out of that deep dark place and pointed me in the right direction and into the light...!!!!!! Excellent and caring service

Don't struggle contact stepchance

Our problem started when interest rates went up. Our monthly money was all going on paying mortgage and bills. We hit rock bottom and thought we was going to have to sell our house or be evicted. Feeling very embarrassed we called step change and spoke to a very nice man who after getting emotional told us they were there to help. The process was easy and after giving them all our monthly outgoings and income , gave us three options to clear our debt. We chose the one most suited to us. Step change contacted all of the necessary people for us and worked out how much we would pay to them. Experience was informative and easy.
