Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Step change totally changed my life

Step change totally changed my life and made me realise that it's okay to ask for help, they are so understanding and it's great to watch your debt go down every month without loads of interest. I got caught due to covid through no fault of my own. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Awful - Just made everything so much worst.

Just made everything so much worst. I things that were meant to be added to my plan weren't. I was given mis information told different things by different people. And i get more letters now from my lenders than i ever got before. Im 100 tomes more stressed with no end in sight. And i still can't afford my debt.
