Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Did for my mental health and stress because of my debt.

I've been with Stepchange for a while now I don't think they understand how vital their services are, I actually don't know where I would be without them, it was the best thing I ever did contacting them after getting over the embarrassment. Reviewed on: 9th June 2025

Great help and advice from STEPCHANGE

From the very start of my debt, STEPCHANGE have continued to assist me with my creditors and payments. I have a 12 month review of my circumstances so I only pay what I can afford each month. Which has helped a lot. There’s no pressure from STEPCHANGE. Reviewed on: 9th June 2025

I previously had a negative experience with another company and was recommended to Stepchange. Within a week they had worked with me, gathered the information necessary, and have been working on my behalf ever since.
