I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

I went off the Financial Rails in a big way after my wife Died and stupidly got myself deep in debt. The best decision I made was contacting Stepchange and after a thirough review a Debt Management Plan was recommended...I have paid off well over half of what I owed and this unlike an IVA doesn't line the administrators pockets and yhe freezing of interest is a god send...Highly Recommend Stepchange. Made redundant

Step Change gave me my life back.

I was left struggling following leaving my husband as I was a victim of domestic abuse, step change helped from the first contact, as I struggled with my emotions they allowed me to carry out the Majority of the application online and followed up by a very short phone call. At all times they have been very compassionate, and understanding the process of arranging a debt management plan was really easy and set up in no time at all. They carried out all the contract with credit agencies and kept me updated all the way. I wouldn’t have been able to see light at the end of the tunnel with out the professionalism I now believe I’m a survivor of abuse rather than a victim from the confidence they have given me.
