It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Life Changing

I was feeling extremely stressed, like I was drowning in my debt. StepChange has literally changed my life. The feelings of anxiety, stress and depression are no more. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and live each day without the worry hanging over my head. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

A way out of debt

I didnt know where to turn as i had accrued 20000.00 pounds of debt. i wasnt very well paid and it had mounted up from just living costs i rarely went out didnt smoke i was so embarrassed but then i was told about Stepchange and plucked up tge courage to ring them . To my shame i even lied to them about how much debt i was in but i rang them back the next day and told them everything. They worked out a plan for me on what i could afford and the relief that there was a way out was immense. I have 4 more payments to make and i will finally be debt free. Over the years i have had to amend the plan you are reviewed every year so cost of living rises in food and utilitiy bills are accpunted for or even if you just find yourself struggling. Amazing and empowering support

I had got myself into an unmanageable situation with my credit cards and really needed some support. Not only to step change give me options but everyone I spoke to did it with so much compassion and reassurance. I never felt judged and they made the whole process so easy to engage with, from their online tools, live chat and even the communication I received throughout the whole process. There was always a friendly voice at the end of the phone if I ever was unsure and wanted to talk things through. My experience with StepChange, Debt Management is ex...

My experience with StepChange, Debt Management is excellent because I was in a life of worries about managing my debt and I was not working to service my debt because of sickness. I did not know what to do and what would happen to me. Then I lacked to be introduced to StepChange by the Citizen advice bureau. Since knowing them, I feel relaxed, happy, no worries any more because through their help I have been able to pay my debt according to what I can afford and my debts are coming down and down. They have helped me to discipline my money, I can budget and spend wisely. They have a good team of staff who are always there to provide support and advice when I am preparing my statement. I feel comfortable ringing them and asking them anything I didn't know. Every month, they send me information when the next debit is taken from my account. If someone knocked on my door I would be free to open it than before, when I was scared with the bailiff. Thank you so much StepChange. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
