I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

I would like to thank you with all my heart and recommend it to anyone who is not able to cope on their own. One installment per month, according to how much is actually left from the salary. Thanks to you, I can breathe a sigh of relief and not worry about the bailiff knocking on my door. With you I feel safe and I don't worry about my future and that of my family. Thanks a lot. £42,000 of debt

In 2017 I was suffocating under a mountain of debt. Stepchange was recommended to me by a friend , as they had received help and were successfully managing their own plan. I had nothing left to lose so I took the plunge and made the call. It is without doubt the best decision I made, no judgement, no criticism only help and support. My debt was over 40k! But here I am, almost exactly 7 years later and in 2 more months I will be debt free. It's not been easy, I won't lie to you. It's like everything in life that's worthwhile, you need to work at it. If, like me you are struggling, alone and feel like you are unable to manage your repayments to multiple creditors and worried that the next knock at the door is the bailiffs? Brilliantly helpful and reassuring service

It was so easy to use the website and my life has been so much easier since. Only had a couple of occasions to speak to some directly.
