It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. StepChange helped me get my finances back on track

When I found myself facing financial difficulties & ended up having to pay my bills with credit cards only to find myself crippled with interest charges & finding myself out of my depth. I contacted StepChange. They have helped me with a debt management plan, contacted all of my creditors & put in place a 3 month ‘breathing space’, during which time the creditors freeze interest charges & don’t contact you. A debt management plan is set-up & they work out ‘affordable’ payments & a budget. I pay one direct debit payment to Step-Change & they pay the creditors what I can afford pay them - working towards being debt free in 3-4 years. I already feel like the pressure & stress has been lifted. When I have contacted them, they are always professional, courteous & non judgmental. They have offered my a lifeline & Im so thankful, humbled & extremely grateful. They truly are exceptional & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others. Reviewed on: 8th July 2023

Outstanding and impactful care and advice

I have been helped by this organisation with debt advice and practical support. All my interactions with the individuals in this team have been calm, positive and supportive at a time of great stress and anxiety. Even the admin communication is carefully thought through so as not to add further stress and anxiety, I feel they pay attention to the impact of financial stress on an individual’s mental health. I can honestly say this charity has helped and guided me clearly through the practical steps of working towards clearing debt but also has significantly impacted my mental health with the calm and positive nature they have brought to the service. I am happier as a result of using this service. I already have recommended step change to friends and family and would strongly encourage anyone seeking support or guidance with debt to contact them without delay. Thank you for all your good work. I can't praise this organisation enough

Step Change have helped me to get out of the financial hole I was in and get back on my feet again. Their service, right from the start, has been person-centred, giving me available options along the way. I have managed to get in contact straight away when I've needed to and I've had my own case worker, who knows me personally and I feel the support and understanding I've been given couldn't be improved upon.
