As a first time driver most prices were dear then was told about Tesco car insurance which I then looked into and it was honestly the best thing I did as the price I got was perfect and so affordable for me. Young driver, just renewed

I was 21 when I took out insurance with Tesco from recommendation. A year on, I have had no problems whatsoever with them, it has felt as if I didn’t have a black box at all. I received a score from 80-100 each month and when it came to renewing, it was £1000 cheaper than what I paid before. No curfews, and you don’t get punished if you accidentally go a lot over the speed limit.. as long as you realise and bring it back down. Can’t fault it, very pleased. What a joke of a company stick to selling groceries

Ive been using tesco car insurance for over 4 years never had to use them to make a claim. Recently i was involved in a minor car accident not at fault customer service was a joke refusing me a hire vehicle was just the start of this nightmare, over next few days i was told to pay £126 to amend a occupation details or have my policy cancelled wtf... now ive boycotted tesco never to use them again anywhere and ill advise anyone whos thinking of taking car insurance with tesco to reconsider save yourself the headache as tesco simply do not care untill liability has been accepted by third party what a joke of a company stick to selling groceries. Telematics box was great as if you drove well could earn bonus miles - rewarding good driving but did not penalise. Great online portal easy to use and access. Would highly recommend for new drivers. Reviewed on: 9th September 2018

Disgusting and rude customer service

I was involved in a car accident which was not my fault. My car was collected by Tesco’s own garage that does repairs, they only replaced the back panel and repainted the car they are refusing to do further repairs on it saying that the other damage is non accidental. How can they expect me to drive a car that is vibrating and shaking when I’m driving it?. This car is a death trap and I’m stuck. I have made several phone calls to customer services/ claim line but have had no joy. I took my car to Halfords for a second opinion and they told me that my car is write off of which Tesco’s is refusing to listen to this nor take my car for a second opinion at a different garage. Tesco you have put my life at risk and surely it’s your responsibility to ensure that all accident damaged cars are repaired to a safe standard. You surely have failed on this one. What’s the point of paying for insurance if you don’t want to pay up in terms of accidents? Would not recommend as it’s a joke. Reviewed on: 7th September 2018
