Claimed for dog and horse

I have claimed twice on my insurance, once for my horse and another time for one of my dogs. Both times it was very straight forward to submit a claim and although I didn’t receive any confirmation that they had received my claims, when I called to check they were quick to update me on the status of my claim. Support at time of need

When our 12 year old west highland terrier was taken ill suddenly on holiday our world was flipped on its head , she received emergency treatment and ongoing specialist treatment at a cost without insurance we could not afford. The communication with the insurance company was first class and we were handled with compassion on multiple occasions , the ease of claim and speed of payment eased the financial pressure in an already pressure situation. cystitis is not the same as chronic kidney failure

this company won't pay for long term kidney problems because my cat had cystitis several years ago. Every time I say anything about it I get a response saying they are part of the same system and they are so sorry my pet is ill. Reviewed on: 14th October 2023

Reply from The Insurance Emporium Good afternoon, We're sorry to learn you remain unhappy with the outcome of your claim. Where a pet has suffered a condition before coming on cover we may place an exclusion in view of the increased insurance risk and this may prevent claims for other conditions. Any such exclusion is transparently detailed in the Schedule of Cover. For cystitis we exclude the urinary system which would prevent a kidney disease claim.
